Newberry County Water and Sewer Authority was established as a Special Purpose District of the State of South Carolina in 1963. The Authority serves approximately 3800 drinking water customers and 400 sewer customers. Nineteen full-time employees support the Authority's operations. The operation and maintenance of the water and sewer system are funded solely by the revenue generated by the system.
